Initial thoughts are that the wallpaper would not stick very well to the vinyl. A better idea is to place anther layer of sheetrock over the vinyl to which you can wallpaper or paint. **Q: Doing a full remodel, can this be used also as a vapor & sound barrier prior to sheetrock Installation?** A: It definitely can be installed prior to your sheetrock; in fact, for sound blocking, that is the preferred way to do it.
