Review: Great substitute for a Rochester 2GC carburetor - Installed and worked like a charm on a 1976 El Camino V8 5.7 350. Same fit, no leakage, great value for the money. I saved over $250 in parts by installing instead of rebuilding the old beat up carburetor which was giving me grief. You just have to tweak it once installed but Youtube helped with that. The plus of this carburetor is apparently the parts can handle ethanol. Highly recommended so far.

A: i do not believe this will fit that vehicle

**Q: What measurements are the base hole**
A: Large base: c-c 3 11/16 x 2 1/16 inches

**Q: l have a 1978 El Camino with a 305 and it has a 2-barrel in it now. Will this fit?**
A: It should fit, however check to see if you have an electronic  or vacuum choke. The one I am seeing in this e-mail is a vacuum type choke carb.

Installed and worked like a charm on a 1976 El Camino V8 5.7 350. Same fit, no leakage, great value for the money. I saved over $250 in parts by installing instead of rebuilding the old beat up carburetor which was giving me grief. You just have to tweak it once installed but Youtube helped with that. The plus of this carburetor is apparently the parts can handle ethanol. Highly recommended so far.

### ⭐ Hydra locked my motor!!

Seemed to work well after install, but tried starting second day and locked down motor with piston full of fuel. One piston fired before gas filled piston locked down. Motor has bent rod and crank now. Tried saving a few bucks ordering this one and now I'm looking at a whole motor build again. Only had about 10k on motor at time. Won't know full extent of damage until full breakdown. I've received a replacement carb but now only have blown motor to put it on. LOTS of work ahead of me now.
