My daughter really only plays with soft plush animals? Thanks** A: He is not what I would consider soft like those mushy stuffed animals. He is firm so that he stands up straight. **Q: Are his eyes sown on and fabric or are they hard plastic? Thanks!** A: The eyes are hard plastic. We have had this toy 4 years or so and it has held together well. Even our German Shepherd puppy got it for a few minutes. **Q: Is the yellow ribbon removeable?** A: No. It is sewn into the seam at the back of the neck. You can cut it off and carefully try to remove the remnants from the seam using a sewing ripper tool, but it would be very tedisome ...not impossible though. He is a very cute little dachshund. My son was asking for this dog for some time we were both happy that I was able to find and purchase it. Pretzel is made very well of high quality. We love that he is bendable and his body will flex with out damaging him. My son takes this little dog every where with him he takes him to school, he sleeps with him, plays with him and takes him on trips. We are also big Curious George Fans in this house. There are lots of details on the face and thru the body. There is a hang tag with this dog that includes a small booklet of other character books with the character. In my sons kindergarten class they read books that have the stuffed character. We were lucky to find both the book and the dog.
