Not sure what they mean by self-sealing, as they are ziplock-type bags, but that's exactly what I wanted and went on faith by the pictures. I'll probably use the bags to pack my toddler outfits for vacation as well, as it's easy to squish the air out for packing. Arrived quickly, packed into 5 bagged bundles of 100, so you're not dealing with an enormous pile of 500 bags.
