His litter box is in a kitty bathroom furniture type thing so i put one inside the furniture piece right before he jumps into his litter box and one outside of the furniture piece that he steps out of. These mats have reduced the amount of litter he drags around the house dramatically. I have 2 cats and this did not do the trick. The litter pooled on this mat and when they would get out their box after doing their business litter was still kicked all over the place.
