I immediately made the switch, after High School. But Axe messy look hair paste 2.64 oz, got expensive, I decided to look for a different brand and get more for my buck! I then tried clay, from American Crew molding clay 3.0 oz and it was okay, but mediocre when it comes to hold strength, I ended up returning it! Later on, I tried Tip Top Original water based pomade 4.25 oz. Tip Top Original water based pomade sucks! It's like using hair gel, all over again! I also noticed, every time I washed it off, I kept losing a few or more hairs!!! I began to worry, and I had enough losing hair!! I went on Amazon to look for a better brand(fingers crossed), then I stumbled upon Golden Coast Company hair styling forming cream 3.5 oz. What concerned me was it was a cream, not a paste and I read a negative review, about someone experiencing flaky hair, when using this product. I decided again, to take a risk! In addition, what attracted me was it's 3.5 oz vs Axe messy look hair paste 2.64 oz. Pricier than Axe paste, but Golden Coast Company's ingredients were alluring vs harmful chemical ingredients like Axe, Tip Top, etc. When it arrived, Golden Coast Company is now my new favorite and only brand, that I will trust for my hair styling needs! I'm glad I took the risk! No more losing hair, when I wash it off! I only use just a small dime size amount, rub it between my palm of my hands and it really holds!! None of that hair gel look, more a natural look. I prefer damping my hair, then I apply Golden Coast Company hair styling cream. I was afraid it wouldn't hold, but it does a great job! I also didn't notice flaky hair, I guess for the individual who experienced flaky hair, probably added more than a dime size. This product is great for men, who have short straight black hair.
