The nets have become a bit "stretched out" and they don't really return to their original size anymore, but honestly with what I've done to them I'm not even gonna complain. 100% satisfied and will purchase more to use again when these inevitably give out. We certainly use high quality fabric and rubber, so if you're talking about a road trip where you're going to have cargo tied down for several days as you cross the country, that's NOT a problem. Now, STORING it out in extreme weather is probably not a good idea. Even high quality fabrics and rubbers will break down over time when left out in the heat of the sun. I just wouldn't store it somewhere that it will have sun and rain beating down on it for weeks and months at a time. **Q: what size are the carabiners? I want to make sure they will attach properly to my hauling platform. Too small won't work.** A: Small and won't clip on my roof basket.
