## Overview

The Myler 02 Eggbutt without Hooks is a stainless steel dressage bit featuring a unique 02 mouthpiece with a copper inlay that promotes tongue comfort and independent side movement. Approved under FEI rules since 2010, it offers ergonomic curved bars to prevent pinching and applies balanced pressure to teach horses to yield to the bit. Weighing 454g and sized at 5.5 inches, this bit is ideal for training young horses and competitive riders seeking precision and comfort.

## Description

Stainless Steel Eggbutt with Stainless Steel Comfort Snaffle (MB 02) Copper Inlay Mouth. About the mouthpiece: the 02 mouthpiece is the Myler alternative to the traditional three-piece mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits. When the reins are engaged, the 02 will rotate fully on to the tongue in order to apply the necessary tongue pressure to teach a horse to give to the bit or break at the poll. The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the horse’s mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue. The curve makes more room for the horse’s tongue under the bit. The barrel in the center is the same width as the center piece on a traditional three-piece mouthpiece so applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue. However, the barrel distributes the pressure more kindly than the traditional centerpiece and creates the Independent Side Movement . Similar to the 01, but the center barrel of the 01 is narrower than the 02 which concentrates pressure on the tongue more than the 02. For more tongue relief, step up to the 04. For a horse with little or no training, consider the Combination Bit with 02 mouthpiece or the Combination Bit with 04 for more tongue relief).
