I have only used them a few times and one has cracked!!** A: I brought some for my daughter and she has not had any problems. We have been using these for at least 10 years with no problems **Q: Is it 100% made of mud** A: I have no idea what it’s made of. Terracotta is from clay as is most pottery items I believe but it’s a great dish - oven not hob - looks good. Very happy with this oven to table cookware. 10 out of 10 - but don’t drop it! **Q: I assume the 20cm refers to the external diameter, but what is the internal diameter?** A: Internal 18.5cm **Q: We bought 2 of these and both have developed mold on the base, they have been through the dishwasher, washed by hand and dried. Any ideas?** A: Just saw this .. thought I would answer for future enquiries Clay pots can develop a mould this is harmless, it is caused by natural spores in the air being attracted to the moisture that is retained in the clay after soaking and/or washing. My only criticism is that if stacked together (and occasionally if not) the glaze on one or two of the dishes becomes mouldy.
