This Wonderful Tournament 76 chess set is made from the best PCS of birch wood and hard beam wood. Dark squares are carefully prepaRed to a beautiful brown colour. Lighter squares are left as pale natural wood colour and are lacqueRed With perfect finish. Playing PCS are made from hard beam wood which is carved and lacqueRed. Board lines, numbers and letters are near Black. The Dark playing PCS are stained in the same colour as the Dark squares on the board. The chessboard have a matt lacqueRed finish. Approximate dimensions of wooden box closed: 39cm x 19.5cm x 5cm / 15 x 7.5 x 2 inches. Approximate dimensions of wooden playing board (when box is fully opened): 39cm x 39cm x 2.5cm / 15 x 15 x 1 inches. Review: NESSUN ODORE DI VERNICE - prodotto incredibilmente ben fatto, realizzato sicuramente a mano, scacchiera in legno ben verniciato e scritte anch'esse a mano. I pezzi degli scacchi sono perfettamente racchiusi all'interno della scacchiera che si chiude idue condei ganci di buona qualità. I pezzi degli scacchianch'essi realizzati a mano, sono rifiniti in modo semplice ma anche se è stato usato un legno piuttosto leggero ogni scacco presenta un ottima stabilità e equilibrio. Ognuno dotato di un feltrino sotto la base che ne asicura la scorrevolezza. Veniamo alla nota dolente, la numerazione dielle lcaselle è identica per entrambi i colorii, le altre recensioni lo descrivono molto bene. Credo fortemente che il costo di questa scacchiera sia cosí competitivo perchè tutte le scacchiere presentano lo stesso problemo che sarà senz'altro dovuto a qualche errore "in serie" all'atto della produzione. Probabilmente nessuno glielo aveva spiegato :) ovviamente si può giocare anche con i numeri al contrario :) NESSUN odore di vernicie! Inballo e soedizione perfetti
Review: First chess set - Recently decided to learn to play chess and wanted a physical board as I think playing online would get boring quickly, but didn’t want to spend a fortune on my first set. This set is perfect and I can’t stop looking at it / playing with it. It’s a good size and the pieces are all well finished. The board is sturdy and lines up well when folded out. It can be put away neatly with all the pieces slotting into their individual places inside the board. The algebraic notation on the sides is really helpful for players who are learning from books and such. The one thing I would say could be a issue is that the pieces are not weighted and so could be knocked off and lost easily, but for the price you can’t expect them to be such good quality and weighted. Overall, would recommend to anyone who is looking for an affordable and quality chess set.

prodotto incredibilmente ben fatto, realizzato sicuramente a mano, scacchiera in legno ben verniciato e scritte anch'esse a mano. I pezzi degli scacchi sono perfettamente racchiusi all'interno della scacchiera che si chiude idue condei ganci di buona qualità. I pezzi degli scacchianch'essi realizzati a mano, sono rifiniti in modo semplice ma anche se è stato usato un legno piuttosto leggero ogni scacco presenta un ottima stabilità e equilibrio. Ognuno dotato di un feltrino sotto la base che ne asicura la scorrevolezza. Veniamo alla nota dolente, la numerazione dielle lcaselle è identica per entrambi i colorii, le altre recensioni lo descrivono molto bene.
