Solidly built, lights and dials that work, and from what I've see no problems with the bar magnet disengaging with the drive magnets. I am surprised it heats to '550 C' -- i sure haven't tried that and don't need it -- just be aware that it can get very hot. However it even has a 'hot' light to keep you on your toes.
