I already have 2 dogs at home (bichon and maltese) & while I expected some teething problems I thought it would settle down as my dogs have lived with & visited family who have cats. I had used the adaptil before for one of my dogs who has since passed away for her fear of fireworks & it was absolutely useless! But last month I was at our pet shop & I asked what they thought of the feliway because I was hoping to help Boo become a little more settled. Anyway £31 later I plugged it in & Boo is a COMPLETELY different cat now! We get literally leapt on for cuddles when we go in the kitchen! However... about a week or two later my hubs & I were sitting watching TV & he asked me if the plug in was for dogs as well. I said no, the dog one is rubbish! & he said- well have you noticed how they haven't chased the cats once since we got it? & how they will just walk past them in the kitchen now? I actually hadn't thought about it, but was just getting along with days as normal ... BEFORE the cats arrived!! Yes! My dogs had totally chilled out!! over the last couple of weeks the cats have started "looking" into the front room & then having a little explore. They still won't come in & sit with us, but I have had the cats & dogs together literally nose to nose giving them all treats together!... so ... coincidence? Well I did actually wonder. However yesterday & today my dogs have gone back to barking & chasing the cats as soon as they hear or see them! I looked & saw that the plug in had run out!! So in short I would have to say that whether it's 'supposed to' or not, it DEFINITELY had a calming effect on my dogs, made my cats more confident & settled (no more poorly tums!) & I think I absolutely 💯 need to refill asap! So here I am reordering so I have a harmonious household again!
