It practises the vocabulary and situations of aviation in greater depth than Aviation English or English for Aviation, and - this is the best feature in my view - constantly puts the student in the situation of responding verbally to cues. In Check Your Aviation English, each unit takes about one hour. Ideal for one-to-one with a pilot who has just realised that he/she has three weeks to prepare for the ICAO! Flightpath, on the other hand, is a long-term proposition. You can easily spend one hour on some of the pages, and there are a lot of pages. So: if the student is regular and intends to improve his/her Aviation English generally, this is the best book on the market. If he/she's in a hurry, I suggest going for Check Your Aviation English. Oh, and Flightpath includes DVDs which are very well done indeed.
