Review: Great for a muslim woman in a non muslim country - This book was written by a British convert to Islam and is specified towards people who find day to day difficulties in being muslim in a western country. One great point she mentions is regarding a woman's hijab which is intended to deflect attention. Although the abaya works great in the gulf and the shalwar khamees works well in the indian sub, it can serve the opposite purpose in the west, attracting attention to you. Its a tiny book, great for referring back to and realizing that you're not alone in your struggles!
Review: concise and yet comprehensive - Useful to muslims and reverts alike, applicable to the West author cites references to back up her advice. however, section on contraception is not in keeping with the Islamic scholars' views today, and needs updating. this section was also inaccurate regarding mode of action of some contraceptives and their effect, and reference cited here was outdated and inappropriate (1992, advice from Mrs Gillick).

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for a muslim woman in a non muslim country

This book was written by a British convert to Islam and is specified towards people who find day to day difficulties in being muslim in a western country. One great point she mentions is regarding a woman's hijab which is intended to deflect attention. A nice, short and to the point guide & reminder for all muslim women. This little book is c. 70 pages but full of wisdom and important rules et etiquettes that muslim women should observe!! Good job sister!
