The ink writes silky smooth and is permanent and waterproof. I even used it on the cover of a leather effect sketchbook, I expected to be disappointed and it to smudge at least a little but on the semi-porous plastic it was spot on once it dried it was immovable. The only downside I can think of is that if your pen leaks in your pocket then your clothes will be ruined because this fantastic stuff isn't coming out any time soon.
