It is tough webbing and has 3 steel 'D' rings and 2 sets of metal strap clasp clips. The weight of it is not burdensome for an adult and is worth it for the sense of security it provides. The box does not show a weight and the harness I have is stowed away in a separate garage and I'm afraid it is a bit of a bother to fetch it and weigh it. **Q: what is minimu waist and minimum chest size it will fit slso height min and max** A: Max chest size more of a problem. 44in probably, but mods could be done to increase that. I am 46in chest and it is a bit tight. Min chest probably about 26in. Min waist 22in, probably.Should fit anyone 5ft tall, up to about 6ft. It depends on your torso size really. I am just over 6ft, by the way. Just fits but I could not wear the harness over thick clothing.I am 17 stone, so if you are less heavy there is more scope for comfort adjustment. Much over 17 stone don't buy, you will end up strapped up like a turkey.Best to try it and send it back if your size is a bit marginal. **Q: How much weight can the harness support? (e.g. I'm eleven stone - will it work for me?)** A: Will take 11 stone easily. (I am 17 stone.) In my view they are nicely and strongly made. For me it is too close a fit really, but still is useable. I am 6ft and a bit paunchy so the 'one size' is a bit of a challenge, but it does fit......just. Fits up to XL only, I think, and I would have liked more length in the straps as I am17 stone. However, I can get it on and it is a great safety item, 3 D rings are great, and I feel very secure in it.
