The reason for this is that the others had to be pushed together hence do not fit snugly. However, I do not feel it is an issue as the parasol seems very sound and shows no movement in windy conditions. **Q: the underside of the base is full of holes. Doesn't this mean that water will flow out when being filled?** A: Do you mean the four square plastic containers that hold down the umbrella? There shouldn't be any holes! Mine have a filling hole at one corner which can be closed with a large screw cap. I filled mine with sand and some water so they are really heavy. Does that help? **Q: Just bought my cantilever parasol and it has different length legs, one long, two medium length and one small. Will these slabs fit around the base?** A: Hi Sarah, yes I bought some and they fit fine. They are very heavy though when filled with water. **Q: Hi did anyone buy these for the rhodes grande parasol- 4m x 3m. would they be sufficient?** A: I bought these for a 3m x 3m square cantilever parasol and they worked fine.
