This is thanks to the powders antimicrobial properties. I noticed an improvement in my skins luminosity within only 2 days; and my skin tone after 7 days of use has vastly improved; my numerous red blotches have gone; as have my many dry patches (which means my foundation is more easily applied and is more effective!) Also some fine lines are now disappearing too.Overall my face and neck have not looked so youthful in years and I am overjoyed that my skin is now clear. I look so good that my mum has now bought some!In case this information helps anybody; I am in my mid forties and I have extremely blotchy, sensitive skin, prone to breakouts as I have a connective tissue disorder (faulty collagen) as well as Psoriasis; so I was concerned about an adverse reaction but thankfully this didn't happen.I use it in the following way: I first cleanse with tea tree oil wipes (great for its antibacterial properties for sensitive skin; I can't use any other cleanser as it burns my skin) I then let this dry for 5 minutes. Then I mix a very small amount of powder (there is a spatula included) into coconut oil, which works as a wonderful moisturiser which is very kind to the skin. Coconut oil also has antibacterial properties plus 20 other benefits for your face; body; hands and hair!The pot is very small but as you only use a tiny amount, I estimate that it would easily last more than a year if used once daily; so definitely worth the initial outlay. The jar is filled to the top so care is needed when opening, to stop it going everywhere; I just ensure that I open it on a piece of kitchen towel.I will definitely be buying this again (my mum also) and I will continue to use it everyday. This stuff is just ground up oyster shell. It's chalky, has an unpleasant feel, not smooth and silky when you rub it between your fingertips like the real stuff. Instead it grips your skin like chalk.
