Why would this be?** A: Having checked the battery, I would suggest you firstly check the mechanism out out the clock. Mark the white minute/hour shafts and check to see if they move over time. If they don't then the mechanism will be faulty and needs replacing. If on the other hand the shafts are moving then the problem might be incorrectly fitted hands as other people have suggested. Again fit these first outside of the clock to check.
