However, I just purchased it and cannot comment on the long term water resistant effects **Q: Are the knee pads soft or hard ?** A: It's like a foam with a hard plastic pad. My only complaint with the pads is that it had 4 or 6 little velcro circles that were glued on. They have basically all fallen off and now there's nothing securing them in the slot. **Q: Is it fire resistant?** A: Negative, the pants are NOT fire resistant treated **Q: Do these glow under night vision?** A: Dear Customer, Thanks for you interest in our product ,I am sorry this pants CAN'T glow under night vision.
