But really, the pendant and beads go so well together and the overall effect is stunning, so why alter it? The length of the beaded chain is just right to sit just above the breastbone, in or just slightly below the V neck of a t-shirt or jumper. Wear this black obsidian necklace not just as a lucky charm but especially as a powerful protection against negative energy and psychic attack. Linked to the root chakra, black obsidian is a very grounding stone which recycles negative energy back into the earth. Also healing for sensitive, wounded or bereaved people. And if you don't believe in the properties of crystals and stones, just wear it as a beautiful, unusual item of jewellery and an interesting conversation starter!
