I use it for 5.1, and have not added Atmos speakers yet, sounds fantastic. Audyssey room correction is really great! DTS Virtual X (with update) creates a faux surround with non surround tracks. Heos connections to wireless speakers around the house, perfect! Plus it's reasonably slim, fits into almost any (deep) shelf. Very easy to setup and use via remote or app. One of the best features is 4K upsampling for all your HDMI video sources... it really does clean up SD video very well... much better than my TV can! If you're using inefficient giant floorstanding speakers, there is an output for separate amps. Mine feeds a mixture of 4ohm fronts (efficient floorstanders) and centre and 8 ohm rears (bipole) plus a powered sub with no problems at all, and can reach a loud level in a medium sized room. Remote control feels a little but cheap, but very handy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic bit of kit *by G***R on 11 December 2018* Have been contemplating a new Atmos system for some time and looked at the Onkyo originally but vertical space was restricted in my AV unit. Then looked into soundbars, but then stumbled across this "slimline" unit. Managed to pick one up on an Amazon Warehouse deal for £354 when at the time the standard price was £395. Arrived and the only issue was a dented box, the contents were pristine and still factory sealed. Setup was simple and I paired it with a set of Onkyo SKSHT588 5.1.2 speakers (open-box from eBay so another discounted purchase). And wow! what can I say! All content sounds great from Atmos UHD BR and Xbox One X games with the Atmos add-on. That's not forgetting 8 HDMI, AirPlay 2 etc etc. Great bit of kit and my bargain seems even better now it's up to £435 now!
