Mine is in a small bathroom and I find it acceptable as it only needs to be used for about 15 seconds to get my hands dry. Hope this helps **Q: Can the air be re directed upwards, could it be used to dry your body after a shower, etc.** A: yes it can be re-directed but ingress of water down the upturned vent would be a concern. **Q: Can be incorporated into the socket?** A: Not sure about the meaning of this question. I am not a qualified electrician so you would need to check this following opinion; it can be plugged into a 13amp three pinned socket, which if located in a bathroom etc. would be illegal. It can be wired straight out of the unit casing into a 13amp fused outlet with an isolation switch outside the room or from behind the unit and through a wall into a fused outlet. The unit is high wattage but only used for short blasts. The automatic on/off switch is excellent and very sensitive.
