However I’m not an expert. **Q: Are these treated?** A: yes they are heated in a kiln and dried out **Q: Hi, would these be good to turn to a platter? Thanks.** A: I used it for a wedding cake. The bottom tier of our cake is 12" (30cm) and this stated the size was 33-37cm, so we thought it would be a little bigger than the bottom tier. However, it arrived and it measures 30cm across at its widest part (not quite perfectly round). So we wont use it for our cake base. We will still use it as base for other decoration, so not a waste of money. Just be aware that it may not be the size listed. The wooden slice was very good quality though.
