It was the standard size that's seen everywhere but the product is very flimsy. **Q: can you only use nyjer seed can you fill it with no mess seed and nut mix?** A: No you can only use nyjer seed in feeder **Q: How do you clean the bottom? Seed gets trapped and I cannot dismantle?** A: Put a stick, wire or knife down from the top and also through the holes in the bottom and twiddle. Also, give it a clean under a tap. Bit of a pain, but it works. Apart from that the goldfinches love it and prfer it to a more expensive feeder. **Q: Is it easy to clean? I bought one that looks similar from B&Q and couldn't get it apart to clean it.** A: The feeder should be very easily taken apart, I've had no trouble with mine. I use a bottle brush type cleaner, but one with a sponge, to clean it on the inside and it fits perfectly and cleans it completely. We have three that visit regularly. A major plus is that the holes are big enough for the birds to get the seeds but not so big the seed falls out easily. It is easy to fill. I was a bit worried that plastic would break easily but it is proving robust so far and is much better quality than other feeders I have bought.
