I read the reviews before I ordered it and I agree it’s maybe a little bit more noisy than others I’ve had, but I don’t mind the humming background sound when I’m sleeping. It has a light function, which I’m not using at all. I don’t see the point in having bright lights when sleeping! I do like the fact the ‘on’ light is very small and not too disturbing. A warning though, if it’s full, it will start beeping loudly and a red light will start flashing and it nearly gave me a heart attack in the middle of the night! However, the main purpose of collecting water is fantastic! It’s also supposed to purify the air, but I can’t tell if that works, or not. I am absolutely delighted with the Dr Prepare I purchased, which is in use 24/7 as the only time I switch it off is to empty it. They have reduced the price since I purchased mine. My Dr Prepare sits on the top of an embankment of oak wardrobes and as we don't have the heating on it does the job well and stops condensation forming mould on the ceiling. It meets all the marketing criteria stated. Sorry to say, I think if you want it to help dry clothes you need a bigger model.
