The Felco / Victorinox folding all purpose budding knife with a durable stainless steel blade and bark lifter and alloyed lined red nylon handle. This Swiss made horticultural budding knife is a must for any garden.

Review: Nice quality knife - I like the fact the blade is on the slim side, the side of the blade is nice for pealing the bark before inserting a bud/scion. It came sharp but with a small carbide sharpener, it's now razor sharp.

**Q: Does the blade have a single or double bevel?**
A: Aside: A single bevel is what you want. However, IDEALLY, there should be both a right hand and left hand version with the bevel on opposite sides of the blade!

**Q: What side is the bevel on?**
A: It’s on the same side as the thumbnail slot so if you hold it in your right hand the bevel is facing you.

**Q: What sharoing stone do you recomend?**
A: Any quality hard stone will do. I like a combo of Japanese water stones, a ceramic stick,  and a piece of leather flesh side down (around a 12"x 2'' strip should suffice) glued to a wood board with white rouge compound rubbed into it. Make sure when you strop, you keep the blade bevel against the leather at a fixed angle... do not change the angle of the blade, or you'll round off your edge. I can't stress that enough! You can strop the flat side too, but dead flat without lifting the blade at all. This type of polishing will give you a razor sharp blade if done correctly. Strop after each use and you'll be able to shave with it! Hope this helps!

**Q: Is the back bevel sharp? Would it damage the inside of your pocket while carrying?**
A: Not too sharp, I have not hesitated to carry it in my pocket.
