Review: Absolutely Brilliant! - My parents grave had started to loose the gold leave lettering and was looking so so bad, so I looked on here and found this pen and thought I’d give it a go after reading a review of what I wanted it for … the pen did take a while to arrive but when it did it was Straight to it, we did find the nib of the pen a bit hard to work with as it was much bigger than the lettering so we cut it down so it made a point and from then of it was simple….. we started letter by letter with a quick wipe down with acetone in between to wipe up any remaining pen, then we went for 3/4 letters at a time and just wiped them over…… the stone came up a treat, Iv recommended this pen to A few people now Very pleased ! Wanting to write on glass mugs** A: I have used this paint on a memorial stone in the cemetery and it has brought the letters up really well, just like new. Up to now (3 months) it appears to withstand the elements, especially with all this rain we have had. Whether it would be waterproof on a mug or glass is if it contained warm or hot water is something I don't know, although I suspect it would be ok. **Q: Will this pen fill in gaps left after applying gold leaf** A: No, the colour is completely different. In order to fill in gaps paint a base coat pre gold leafing of a complimentary colour and then leaf over the top. If you try fill in the gaps afterwards with this it will look a mess, the colour is much darker than a gold leaf and will not blend **Q: How do you open the pen I’m struggling to open it ?** A: I've just inserted a small screwdriver head in the gap between the bottom of the cap and the main part of the marker.
