**Q: How many amps does it draw?**
A: Not sure how many amps it draws. But, I can say this about the unit. I have replaced several Auto Zone cooling fans. They never last. The spal fan is far superior for a harsh use environment. It stands up to heavy dirt, heat, and constant running through the day.

I installed this fan behind the rear cylinder of a Harley Electraglide to help keep the engine cool in stop and go traffic. It worked well for a few years, until I hit a deep pothole and the housing broke. I bought another one and kept the original for parts. The fan in this application is exposed to lots of heat, moisture, shock and vibration, so I'm suprised how long the original one lasted.

SPAL Italian made fans are the absolute best quality. They are highly used in off-road desert racing. I used two of these 5 inch fans to cool down an intercooler for a Supercharger with Water running through it. Mainly for rock crawling when I’m going slow so I can throw a little bit more aired towards the motor as space is tight. Not so loud. The Quality is obviously there. And they blow a lot of air. Definitely worth it.
