That could be a reason why it doesn’t lie flat. It doesn’t even feel like silicone. It’s like plastic. Definitely doesn’t provide a good typing experience. The underside, that lies on the keyboard, feels like silicone. The top, the side you touch when typing, feels like a clear rain coat. Because the cover doesnt fit snug enough, you have to forcefully type, like you're using an old mechanical typewriter. Aweful user experience. Do yourself a favor, don't get this. It will keep the keyboard clean, but this is not what I had in mind.
