Also there is a 7 day egg withdrawal period for chickens. **Q: Should I keep giving the s76 after the four weeks if my cockatiel still showing mite?** A: It’s my opinion only, but yes I would keep dosing the water for your bird. Q Have you considered perhaps your cockatiel isn’t drinking the dosed water? It might be avoiding your water and choosing fruit or veggies to suspiciously avoid the medicine. Q Do you put out a bird bath too? Your bird maybe getting drinks elsewhere? Q have you tried a pipette oral dose of some of the water twice a day. I had to do this for a sick Canary once and it recovered. Q is your F76 date expired? Perhaps check for an expired date and renew if needed. Q you may need to empty out its cage, put everything in the bath and scrub every perch, base, the bars and all the drinking and food bowls etc. remove any wood and soak for a few hours. Scrub corners and crevices especially where it looks dusty/debris has collected, the eggs of the mites are so small almost impossible to see. Unless there’s a build up where the mites and eggs are hiding. Worth a try. Remove the entire cage and wipe down the table and the table legs where the cage sits. Once everything is scrubbed (sorry a bit of a chore) soak it all under hot bath water for a few hours to drown anything you may have missed. Once everything has drip dried, use left over s76 water that your bird didn’t drink to brush into corners and cracks of the cage. Depends on what mites you have, but many hide in the cracks and holes and lay eggs. Then crawl up the bars and perches to crawl up the birds feet to feed while it’s sleeping. Other mites are in the mouth, crop, lungs. If these are still in the bird then your bird is avoiding your medicine. It’s pipette time ! And probably your fingers bitten. All my birds accepted the medicine in their drinking water so I didn’t have this problem. **Q: How many doses are in the 30 ml bottle please? 30?** A: Depends on how many birds are being treated and what kind of birds. I get about 6 doses from the 30ml bottle but I use it for a mixed aviary.
