BUT when you compare to the original equipment manufacturer options from the likes of VW, Audi, BMW etc... it's actually not _that_ expensive... it's also very robust and looks fantastic (if a coat hanger can look fantastic!??) - any friend or colleague that sees it comments on it and it looks like it came with the car. I have it in my VW Passat and it fits perfectly. The wide "shoulders" also properly hang your jacket... unlike the wire ones out there that will leave a crease line. It also has a hidden hook and unclips from the headrest, so you can carry your suit jacket to and from the car and hang it wherever you want, then just click the hanger unit back into the base unit. In summary, not cheap, but not cheap components... you get what you pay for.
