Honestly I'm still digging into the proper use of this switch since it can do way more than what I thought. I have a home network where I segmented my ISP and trusted devices from the untrusted ones (like Alexia, smart plugs - basically IoT devices). Those will never be able to "see" each other. That configuration requires network gear that's more than plug and play, which comes with a cost and learning curve. I was able to plug my 10-Gtek SFP+ DAC cables in and connect the switches over aggregate links. Switch not for beginners. If you are not super familiar with networking you may have some trouble setting it up. I was able to "stack" these by aggregating the SFP+ links over two of these switches. This also has from what I understand a "Cisco like CLI" where you can configure VLANs and what not from a serial port console. I may look into that once I get my phone system up and running. The price of this unit is amazing. The Ubiquiti PRO equivalent of this switch has 2 less SFP+ ports, and a +$300 difference. Also has a ton of PoE capacity for a 24 port switch. The user interface web gui has terminology mixups from what I am used to, but overall it was straightforward and easy to set up LACP and and VLANS.
