In a 2-3 player game each player takes 2 survivor cards. 4-6 players take 1 card each. In a single player game take 4 survivor cards.After clearing the board of Zombies and saving more survivors, move the plane turn marker down one space and spawn a new row of 6 Zombie cards, if any Event cards appear deal with these first, then play continues with the next player.Hope this helps! **Q: Is this suitable for kids that are only learning addition and subtraction? Matt ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great concept, excellent game. *by D***R on 26 July 2016* This is good fun, well thought out, and good quality.For smaller children you can adapt the game to not only be shorter, but easier (numbers up to 10, addition/subtraction). For older children the game can be made longer and more difficult (multiplications & divisions, larger numbers, squares, etc.). There are 2 sets of cards for game play with younger/older children, which is actually a great idea. Collaborative game makes this ideal also for everyone helping each other out.Kids really don't know they're doing maths if you focus on game play, and they quickly get used to working with the numbers and get better over a couple of plays. Parents enjoyed it as much as the kids.It's really not as complicated as people make out on the reviews. If the instructions are too much for you, then you can easily adapt the game as needed... but it's really not difficult to understand game play. (drop the rules that are too hard, the core concept and play of the game is solid enough to lose some of the extra rules/actions should you wish to leave them out)If you aren't keen on maths or strong at maths, this can be adapted to use basic arithmetic. This runs on a similar principle, but a simpler version, the kids can play it on their own, too. They great thing is they work together... (like Zombiecide) so no arguments (like Monopoly).My boys are 8 (nearly 9) and 11 and love it! I got it for them for Christmas (after reading all the great reviews for it on Amazon).Although it's not a cheap board game, it's really worth it!And it's so cool, because you are doing maths but in a really fun way! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun game that gets your kids practicing their mental arithmetic! *by M***Y on 3 October 2017* I bought a copy of this game for my kids last Christmas. The concept is fairly simple. It plays a bit like the final stand of a zombie survival game, but the weapons the survivors have are dice and maths. The cards and board are really nicely drawn and everything comes in nice little zip lock bags to keep it neat. The instructions aren't as indepth as I'd like, but as a co-operative game you tend to find yourself working out and playing house rules all the time anyway. Overall this is a great game to get your kids keen on maths again. It really gets them practicing their mental arithmetic. It's also great fun! We had the ultimate edition.
