Battery lasts really well on full charge (even around the hills in Cornwall!) though l charge it every night when in use all day as don't want to run the risk of being caught out!Battery pack itself is quite heavy but once in place, along with an 11st lady, the chair glides along at whatever pace you set...you simply vary the speed according to the incline (like a car accelerator) The only effort required is to assist a little on steeper gradients. Not only does it help pushing up slopes but makes for a smoother ride for my wife on rougher surfaces, possibly because with the motor powering the centre of gravity is lower. had hoped that the motor would have had more braking torque for downward slopes.Not too difficult to fit, but it does mean stooping down to clip into place for use and sometimes I cannot be bothered as the unit and the battery are both heavy.
