I normally wear leggings or lycra 5" shorts. But some days I don't want the hassle of choosing the right no show panties or wearing something tight.The issue I have with looser fit shorts is that I'm a small woman and shorts tend to be too big in the butt and legs. I took a chance on these shorts and I'm so glad I did.For reference, I am 5'3", 26" waist, 36" hips, 110 lbs with thinner thighs that are still muscular. I ordered the XS size and they fit perfectly.The waist is somewhat stretchy but it's a flat elastic with a drawstring inside. I like this waistband because it doesn't ride up and make me look like I have a belly. The elastic inside is flat and soft. The drawstring is flat and easily tied.The pockets have zippers and they do fit my Samsung Galaxy phone. It's nice to have gym shorts with secure pockets. The length is perfect. Not too short, not too long. That's important when you're a shorter person. The leg width is also perfect. They are tapered but not tight and also not baggy. I can wear these in public and still look nice and not look like I'm wearing work out gear.I love all the colors in the package. I happened to already have gym shirts that match the pink, blue and purple. The pink shorts are somewhat see through with darker colored panties. Lighter neutral colors do not show. The other colors are not see through.The fabric is very soft, lightweight, cool and comfortable. I have worn these lounging around the house, to the gym, to the grocery store/errands and they are very comfy.I highly recommend these shorts, especially for smaller ladies like myself. A good fitting short is hard to find! The size chart was right on point for the XS size. Very comfy, and the drawstring works well.My only complaint is that the zippers on the pockets are so low quality, that after just one week, I've already had issues with two of my shorts' pockets. My black shorts have the zipper stuck closed. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I cut a hole in the top of the pocket on the inside in order to get out my car keys! Now that I have access to both sides of the zipper, I inspected it as thoroughly as I could, and couldn't find any fabric caught in the teeth, so I still don't know why it's stuck. My blue shorts had the zipper stuck open. I realized that the zipper doesn't have a stop and disconnected from the left teeth. That was an easy fix though, just had to feed the teeth back through the zipper. I assume the separation is what caused my black ones to get stuck closed, but I've not been able to fix them yet, and can't see for sure if that's even the issue unless I cut up more of the fabric to get a better visual of the end of the zipper.So yea, all in all, I like these shorts.
