This had a bubble gum smell opening up... non logical smells make me suspicious, thinking they were ready to store whatever it is for months. The controller didn't look great and looked minimal, but it has a switch to turn on/off to save batteries. the car had a switch that's protected for amphibious things.This comes in a giftable box that has the item on the outside.  If you do open it up to charge it, the box's top flap doesn't close easily, so I'd advise against it. This was a splurge choice for us. We like sharks and figured this would give an extra thing to play with outside. While charging, ask for help to help clean up a room for more fun. The best thing is this came with extras: screws, a battery, USB adapter, and a screwdriver. While most people have a screwdriver, it's nice to get an extra one for once. You will need to have two AA batteries for  the controller. We haven't tried the amphibious feature, it's a little cold to try out. because it's amphibious you have to open up the car, to replace the battery. We haven't mastered the tricks but this shark is definitely durable for a toddler to erratically drive it into everything. The controls are skid steer style and do not have variable speed. so it'll take practice to drive well.The battery charges on the included USB adapter, the led turns off when fully charged, I believe. The one battery lasted most of the day full of about 6-7 short sessions until dinnertime. The battery is common enough, you can buy extras for longer play (3.7V 500mAh lithium Ion). The MFR has a video of them operating this in the Q&A's. I've had an item change on me in the far past. At purchase this was called "ifollower Remote Control Car, Amphibious Shark Toy Stunt Car All Terrain RC Truck" This is a new product, so it's description may adjust to suit the product over time.

I purchased this over a month ago. When I gave it to my grandson yesterday he loved it. Had a few issues but the company handeled it in a very timely manner. They were right on it making things right.

My 4 year old grandson has really enjoyed playing with this remote control shark car with my son. My grandson loves taking it out in his backyard and jumping it off the concrete patio into the grass and clover. The patio is only about 4 inches high at one point, but he will make small ramps sometimes. My grandson asks my son to let the clover grow up a bit so that it is taller than the car so he can 'sneak it' throught eh clover patches. With all of the toys my grandson has, there's not many he likes more.

My 5 yr old nephew wanted a shark truck so I purchased this one. Luckily, I opened the box prior to giving it to him and discovered it was made of very cheap flimsy plastic. I don't how the truck could withstand any amount of play and if the remote control was dropped it would probably not withstand the fall. I put the truck back in the box and I'm returning it

I don’t like seeing everyone else say it is for younger kids, because I enjoy playing with the pups with it as long as they don’t start chewing on it. Sometimes they get a bit carried away and feel they caught their prey and must destroy it and I have to rescue the toy! Anyway, the bigger kids can enjoy it as well and they don’t even need animals to amuse them with their new toy. Just the proper terrain. If your yard has a nice hill, holes and obstacles, this still provides good entertainment. And when it dies after about an hour of use, they find something else to do while it recharges and they forget about it and play with it another day. Absence seems to make the heart grow fonder! If you like remote control toys, this one is a good one to add to the collection! It’s a fast little thing. You may not thing it’s super-fast on a straight way, but it zips around real good! It compliments other toys when playing all day!

Brought this bad boy to the beach. Works well in the sand and water. The wheels have a great grip. They provide 2 batteries, so no downtime! That makes my nephew very happy. The ad says 60 minutes play time, but we got a bit more out of the batteries than that. The shark is cool looking. Wonderful gift!

The media could not be loaded.  This amphibians shark car is definitely fun to play with on land and in the water. No assambely is needed but the battery needs charging and the remote needs batteries before playing. I was surprised by how fast it was when we played with it in the house but when we took it to the lake it was a little slower on the outdoor terrain. On soild ground it does some pretty cool tricks!In the water it's easy to control and my 5 year old had no trouble doing it all on his own. It's a little slow but still fun. He really loved the led lights and they looked cool when the sun was going down. The shark is solid and well made. My little guy liked the design of the shark and when it was swimming in water and keep saying that it was coming to eat me!We've taken it to the lake 5 times and I think it will be a long lasting toy. My favorite thing is the extra battery they included. It's run time is about 30 minutes so between the two batteries you get an hour of play time. Good price, great fun!

Can now easily plug in shark car without removing the battery!!My son is VERY happy with this shark rc vehicle and we are very impressed that the company made the improvements and reached out!Original reviewBattery is a single lithium cell with plug in end. Need a screw driver to change batteries, screws aren't trapped and if you lose one, buy letting child swap it out, not waterproof anymore. Toy works okay but there are better, but this one is pretty neat still.

It is fast. You can make quick turns and stops. I tried indoor. My son is 2. He played for a while but probably needs to wait more to understand and use it. You can charge the batteries with a USB cable without taking out the batteries. Remote has two sticks, one for forward- rear and the other for left and right.

Great customer service, replaced a defective order of mine very quickly with absolutely no hassle. My son loves this toy, would make a perfect gift.

I recently gifted my nephew the remote control shark car for his birthday, and it has been an absolute hit! This RC truck’s 360° rotation and all-terrain capabilities make for a really fun time playing outside. My nephew can’t stop talking about how much fun he’s having with it.
