Like all adapters of this type some resolution is lost compared to a direct connection but this device absorbs more than expected. Usable but a bit dissapointing.

     Having dug out my old Sony Hi8 Camera from the 90s I wanted a way to upload the video into my laptop. Just to check that it was working I plugged the camera it into a PC monitor via this unit, and used a portable speaker for sound. The video was surprisingly good and the camera still worked fine, even after sitting in a cupboard for 20 years! Quality wise it was spot on, and the monitor sync'd without issues at 1080P. I took a little footage on my mobile to show the results.This might not be the final word in high end quality, the USB power cable is a bit on the short side, and it could do with a USB power adaptor (I powered it via a USB hub plugged into my PC) , but for the price this does the job perfectly.Now to start sifting through about 80 hours of old footage...

Makes the PS2 display in 16:9 on a modern tv, allows use of HDMI 8 in 1 out switch, sound good, tenner. Does what it says on the tin. Don’t expect it to reprogram the game into HD quality though. Not what it’s for.
