I usually buy a large bag of peeled garlic from Costco, run it through the food processor, and pack it right into these trays to freeze. The flexible silicone makes it incredibly easy to pop the frozen hexagons out, and the clear lids are great for stacking and keeping garlic odors from taking over the freezer. Once frozen solid, I transfer the cubes to a Ziploc bag for easy storage. Each little hexagon is perfectly portioned; one is just right for a quick stir-fry, and I use two or three for pasta dishes depending on the recipe. The garlic stays fresh for several months, saving me a ton of prep time between batches.

A: They’re just a tad shy of an inch in terms of width

A: Silicone ice trays cannot be baked.

A: Nah more than that. But honestly,  using it for a few months now, I would buy something bigger then this. It is quite annoying scoping on every single one of them for the little that it is. I guess it would work for small cups for kids or something. Trying to get a hot tea to a cold one, ain't happening. I mean it could u just have to use the while thing. But no, just buy a bigger one.

Really good little ice cube tray. I thought it was going to be horrible because of the reviews but it's silicone, so I wasn't expecting it to be sturdy like plastic trays are. Difficult to get the cubes to release from the tray. Otherwise it's okay. The size of the cubes works well.
