I would advise buyers of this cable to be aware of this particular issue, as there have been reports in other reviews by other buyers that they ended up damaging or breaking their cables. Of note, a more minor issue, is that the other side of this cable which allows users to attach their own fans is not of solid construction, so the pins are mobile within their housing and so buyers of this cable need to take extra care not to bend the pins accidentally by forcing in their fan connections unless they are sure the pins are in line with your fan connection. Other than those two points, the cable serves perfectly well to adapt a mini Fan Header on a GPU to a standard PWM Fan, permitting those who wish to install their own fans onto a GPU to do so. For alternatives, on desertcart, there is a different version of this cable named EK Water Blocks Adapter Fan to GPU that does not have the same sleeving as this cable does, so it is much more flexible, allowing easier installation for certain setups. **Q: Is this the correct connector for my asus strix r9 390?**
A: Provided the PWM connector pins out correctly, (some companies use nonstandard pinouts to be trolls) it looks like it. Never had a 390 in my repertoire, but the PCB photo looks like a male 4-pin VGA connecor is what you have. I’d reference the pinout on the cooler fans, but it more than likely will be standard. Also, make sure whatever aftermarket fans you get can be properly powered and modulated by the card.

**Q: Cant seem to ajust fan speed. need help asap**
A: It has to be a 4 pin pwm fan. I had the blue wire break off of the connector on mine and that's the wire that controls the speed.

**Q: Can this be used on an xbox 360 slim motherboard to connect a led 4pin pwm fan to it i’m trying to avoid splicing if i can???**
A: It definitely looks like the xbox 360 slim that has a 5 pin gpu header and did not use a custom one like dell would do. I watched a youtube video by HUBBY000001 and it looks like that's exactly what he did. **Q: Can someone tell me how wide the connector is that connects to the gpu? i have a server motherboard with a 6mm fan header.**
A: This connects a 3 /4 pin cooling device to your GPU (the white connector). This will allow GPU level fan and sensor control of the device you connect to it. ( Usually a water block )

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for Alternate Air Cooling Solutions

I had to remove the fan shroud from my 1080 Ti as it wouldn't fit in my case otherwise (yay for small form factor). Stuck one of these into the fan header and the replacement cooling fans now respond perfectly to the GPU fan control software. I found that the cable was quite stiff but even with minimal clearance between the heatsink and fan header, it managed to route through okay. Not sure how it would cope if it was more than just bending in one direction. Of note it that the PWM connector is a bit loose and it is quite easy for fan cable to fall out of the adaptor if you put too much stress on it. Easily sorted by better cable management and I've had no issues since installing.
