If one uses this as a dye one should ideally use it every 8 days or so. You cannot expect it to colour your hair like a chemical dye does. This product is available a reasonable price so I bought it. Yes, it's a lot of work, colouring the hair every week almost, but my hair is becoming thicker, softer. So even if this is not as effective as a chemical dye, it doesn't matter. It depends what you prefer.
