Please note that newer capacitors tend to be physically smaller than the ones they are replacing due to improvements in materials. I had to make a spacer from scrap rubber I had lying around to ensure that the capacitor didn't vibrate around inside the compartment on the motor. Both caps tested at the high end of their rated capacity, so hopefully they last a good long time. It's MUCH cheaper to swap these yourself rather than pay a tech over $100 to come out and do it for you. Just make sure you shut off power at the outside box before opening up your outside unit. This cap was the exact same dimensions as the one it replaced, so I didn't have to do any adjustments to the brackets that hold he caps. The spade connections on the top for the wires were the same too, so it was very easy to swap.
