Like could it protect things if submerged in pool or flood?** A: NOT waterproof! Wife had her phone in one while wading in chest deep water. Would probably be better if it had one more fold but... The largest one is a good size for this purpose, quite sturdy and seems to work well, although it hasn't been tested in heavy rain yet - if anything it is a little over-engineered as the fold-over fastening on its own would do the job without the zip.
