Review: Use with caution - I bought this to mix with a conditioner and use as a toner for brassy blonde hair. It was VERY powerful and I used too much. My hair went purple. But in terms of what it’s meant to do then brilliant, it obviously works! Just be careful if using for toning. Review: Extremely Disappointing Purple Dye - I previously bought the blue hair dye from this brand, and it worked amazingly well. Because of that great experience, I trusted the brand completely and bought their purple dye with full confidence. Unfortunately, the results were extremely disappointing. My hair’s base color is level 7, almost level 8 — very light — so any decent dye should have no problem showing up. But despite the light base and applying the product thoroughly and evenly, the purple dye still had very weak coverage and poor color payoff. A lot of sections didn’t take the color at all, and the parts that did developed into strange, inconsistent shades: grayish purple, bluish purple, dull gray-blue, and even a muddy greenish tint. Considering how well their blue dye performed, this product was a huge letdown. It works well on blonde, but as its a semi-permanent color it needs to be re-applied to keep color. **Q: How many boxes will I need for a 24 inch long hair?** A: My hair is about 4 inches long and I can get away with using half a container. So 3-4 to saturate 24in I'd think. **Q: can i put deep purple dream on my hair over my existing mystic heather? or should i bleach first?** A: i had green in my hair before and i just used deep purple dream on top and it covered everything. it came out very dark on my hair so it should cover mystic heather without bleaching as well. although if you bleach it the color moght come out the truest **Q: Does this stain your scalp** A: Yes, but only for a day or so. Try to avoid putting too much on your scalp, only for the stain factor. I find it doesn't stain as much as other manic panic colours though it washes a bit quicker too.
