That’s because the CPU uses enough juice that it requires the high impulse current that battery cells can produce but a steady state charger cannot. The battery gets juice from the charger slowly while powering the CPU. So for full performance, your T410 needs a healthy battery. When I changed my original dying battery to this one, I immediately got back my missing speed and hyper threaded CPU action.
