It gives the appearance of working but once dry, items which are non-absorbent easily pull apart. The Beacon glue is very strong and works really well when gluing for example plastic parts to painted surfaces and particularly if there is a part of the project that needs to be reinforced - once the Beacon glue has set it is very strong indeed. However it does string very badly and that makes it quite difficult to use - you dont want to assemble some intricate pieces and fine strands of glue all over the place, particularly on clear plastic windows for example. So in use you have to develop a means to glue an item with one hand whilst pulling away the string with the other.... and remain vigilant in case a strand has escaped your notice. I use a tiny LED light for close inspection. I usually buy Fabritac, same people supply it Beacon Adhesives. It is instant grab. Fabritak has a little more give before it dries. I use the 3 in l for everything, from paper, to fabric, to metal and it works. I get through a lot of it because I do a lot of crafting. These two bottles were the cheapest I could find so good value really. I know the glue is expensive compared to some other glues but you get what you pay for. Is that of any help to you? Mary **Q: would this be suitable for sticking down seashells and pebals? please help** A: I've used it on small pebbles when making a miniature & it was fine but have no idea about seashells. I've found it works on almost everything I've tried, so is likely to work. Don't use too much & hold them in position for a short while until the glue becomes tacky. I've found Beacon 3 in 1 usually works, when even super glue doesn't. **Q: Can you advise if the glue is still flexible after it dries or does it go hard like a glue gun?** A: No, this is more or less instant grab glue, ideal for paper and fabric crafting. Why I like it is because it does not bleed through the paper and is not lumpy. It is useful too for some metals, like jewellery and you don't need as much of it as a glue gun. It dries clear and I prefer this and Fabritac (made by Beacon) to any other glue that I use. There is a little more room for movement with Fabritac. X** A: Hi Yes we have used this to stick crystals to ceramic, card, metal and other materials. It's very good and easy to use. I don't know if the type of metal may determine how well it sticks?
