I've had best results using birch wood kindling and pine cones. Boils in minutes as advertised and packs away neatly in the carry bag. My reason for only 4 stars was because as i pulled rubber bung out of kettle container the chain broke! Slightly disappointed with strength of chain. But this does not effect the overall performance of product. Haven't used cooking pots yet but am sure these will be effective.
