I'm not expecting banging bass at high volume, but when listening at lower volumes I like a deeper sound - not tinny** A: Sound quality is EXCELLENT, bass & volume does NOT get very high, but does not distort at MAX volume either. NOT good for rooms much over 12ft by 14ft if you want 'louder' audio. For that buy something else - like a Sony SRS-XB20 portable bluetooth speaker - which I bought last year. But if you DO get one of them be VERY careful plugging in the micro usb charging cable since the charging port on the back is very weak. It sounds nearly as good as a 'BOSE MINI SOUNDLINK II' but at a third or half price of the BOSE. Sound quality heard can also depend on source of the audio - especially via external smart portable devices connecting by bluetooth. **Q: Item arrived slightly open, no paperwork as proof of purchase or info on how to return if product broken etc. Will this be an issue if I need to retur** A: If you ordered through Amazon you will have the proof of purchase on your orders. **Q: Will the battery pack from my pure mini fit this radio** A: Nope. **Q: I want to use this in my bedroom and don't want a radio that glows brightly on standby. Does this?** A: It has a small LCD display about 6cms x 5cms and the time is shown in fairly big numbers, in white on black and the date is much smaller. I don't think you can dim the display.
