## Description

Invented by a roofer of 40 years, the Hall hook is a permanent, secret and fail safe device that should be used when replacing a broken slate. An improvement to existing methods that can be expensive, complicated, unsightly and unsafe. Each pack contains 10 slate repairs and one hook pull. The picture shows a slate roof that had several lead straps. Each was replaced with a Hallhook slate repair fixing. A quick tip though: put the pull down loop on the hook *before* you put the slate in place. Its tricky to locate with the slate covering the hook.

Prior to discovering this brilliant and unobtrusive slipping slate cure, the only way I knew involved cutting a 25mm strip of lead, fixing it to the first accessible timber batten, sliding the slate into place and then folding the lead over the bottom of the slate to hold it in place. Whilst it lasts, it does the job but eventually it degrades and looks like a bodge from the moment it’s first fitted. The Hallhook is unobtrusive and being made of stainless steel, it will last many years. They are a little expensive but well worth it and I would recommend them to anyone with an aging slate roof.
