It has a much higher voltage insulation rating, however I used it in a 3000 volt transmitter power supply. Your voice coil (not used as a power supply speaker choke coil) application can use either one. Tony **Q: Can be removed for resoldering?** A: When cured/dried it is very tough and cannot be removed by any solvent I know of. For de-soldering PCB's you can "burn through" the coating of a solder joint but be careful of the fumes/smoke. **Q: What precautions should a hobbyist take when using Super Corona Dope at home?** A: I have never used any extra precautions when using it. I guess I would say be careful not to spill it as it is much more fluid that earlier versions of corona dope. **Q: will this work on stater/alternator windings on a motorcycle magneto that is in oil? will it hold up to oil &heat?thanks** A: long-term, probably not. Great for huffing too ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Used on a electrially leaky distributor cap. *by T***M on December 19, 2025* NIce stuff. I used this on a 5 cylinder, homemade, fiber distributor cap on a one-off handmade 5 cylinder radial outboard motor that hadn't run in over 30 years. It appeared there was some high voltage leakage from the center electrode to the 5 electrodes to the spark plugs so I sanded the carbon traces and coated the entire cap with this stuff.
